​​About Our Weightlifting Club in North Sydney:
​Olympic lifting is a technical support requiring strength, positioning, timing and flexibility to improve. As a coach and a club we offer:
  • ​A supportive environment
  • Technical support to improve your movement and efficiency
  • Strong foundations in Posture and Movement
  • And specific conditioning for athletes.
  • All our athletes are corporate workers from around Sydney, and from all backgrounds of the world. This is a trait which differentiates gym and weightlifting clubs from most other sports; it's an individual sport, but you train, learn and succeed as a team with all age groups and all backgrounds. We like to encourage this diversity because you truly will meet amazing people who would never otherwise enter your lives. So please don't ever be intimidated to reach out!​
  • If you're interested in weightlifting, we welcome you! I don't care if you're a beginner, in town for a short stay, done Crossfit or whatever, if you're a good person, and you'd like to lift, don't let any barriers stop you.
A Typical Weekly Weightlifting Program:
What to Expect:

A typical program is six weeks long, divided into 2x three week blocks (easy week, medium week, heavy week).

Heavier Days: (one for Snatch, one for Clean and Jerk)
- Snatch or Clean and Jerk
- Back Squat or Front Squat
- Pulls
​- Assistance / injury care exercises

Power Days: (Lighter weights, generally working at around 60%)
- Partial weightlifting movement (eg power snatch, snatch from blocks etc)
- Supplementary leg and / or back exercises
​- Supplementary overhead work (eg snatch push press)
​- Assistance Bodybuilding / compound exercises.

All supplementary and assistance exercises are tailored to your needs. So you all follow the same program structure, but you have individualised work, this is obviously safer and more efficient for everyone rather than all doing the same program.

Most our clients train 3-5 days per week.

Weightlifting 5.30pm - 6.30pm
TUESDAY:
Power Class 7am - 7.45am
Weightlifting 5.30pm - 6.30pm
WEDNESDAY:
Weightlifting 7am - 7.45am
​THURSDAY:
Power Class 7am - 7.45am
Weightlifting 5.30pm - 6.30pm
FRIDAY:
Weightlifting 7am - 7.45am
SATURDAY:
Weightlifting 9.45am

Power Class:

This is faster paced (generally interval based) bootcamp style class to improve your power endurance. This is a good introduction for those wanting to improve their lifting skills with the added cardiovascular benefits.

Sprints: Wed 7am

Improve your cardiovascular fitness, recovery time, speed and lactate threshold. You go at your own pace but you'll all be training in similar intensity zones to give you the real sense of "all in this together." If you struggle with match fitness or need the 'push' of a group environment, this is perfect for you!

Prices:

LIFTING:
  • $50 per week, come and train as often as you can.
  • $20 Casual. Please note, no long term programming is catered to casuals, it's too difficult and variable.

PERSONAL TRAINING:

Forty Five minutes $80
